Mark Massey, President, CPA, CPM
Mark Massey has been dedicated to the real estate industry for over 30 years. Throughout this time he has acquired expert knowledge in real estate management, analysis, financing and marketing. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Colorado Real Estate Employing Broker and Certified Property Manager®. The designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) is awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and only to those individuals who have met rigorous requirements in the areas of education and experience.
In addition to his professional credentials, Mr. Massey has advised many people on personal real estate investments and had an article titled, “Qualifying the QI” published in the Journal of Property Management.
Mr. Massey’s personal mission is to help his clients make informed and well-advised decisions regarding the purchase, management and sale of real estate.
Gillian Bliss, General Manager and Broker Associate
Gillian is our General Manager and is often described as the ‘glue’ in our organization. She started with Evergreen in April 2004 shortly after coming to the USA from Manchester, England. At that time Evergreen Property Management, Inc. was comprised of 3 employees and Gillian was the maintenance department.
In England, she was employed for 18 years by The Valuation Office, a government agency responsible for assessing residential and commercial property taxes. She is also a licensed Real Estate Broker and is currently working on her Employing Broker License and her Certified Apartment Manager designation.
When not at work (joke, she is always working) Gillian enjoys reading, keeping track of the housing market and spending time with her family. Gillian says, “I love all the challenges Property Management presents to me on a daily basis, no two days are the same”. As General Manager, Gillian heads up a team of very talented maintenance technicians and extremely supportive office team.
Mikayla Morrison, Human Resources Manager
Mikayla joined the Evergreen Team in November of 2016. In her time with the company, Mikayla worked in both Maintenance and Accounting before settling into her role as Human Resources Manager. Mikayla graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in May 2018 and obtained her Associate Professional in Human Resources certification in November 2018. She enjoys working at EPM, Inc. as the organization provides her and her colleagues with lots of room to grow both personally and professionally and looks forward to owning both personal and rental properties (all of which will be managed by EPM, Inc., of course) in the future. When she’s not at work, Mikayla enjoys exploring Fort Collins and the surrounding natural areas with her friends and family. She is also a dedicated and shameless “Dog Mom” and brings her pup Lilly to work with her on a regular basis.
Ben Akers, Business Development Specialist
Ben began working for Evergreen in the spring of 2010 as a seasonal groundskeeper/landscaper. Ben graduated from Colorado State University in the fall of 2013 with his degree in business administration. When he’s not working, Ben loves spending his time outdoors backpacking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and anything that keeps him active. When asked the question about working with Evergreen and his future, Ben had this to say: “I like working for Evergreen Property Management, Inc. because they have supported me through personal and professional goals and because of the welcoming work environment. Thanks to EPM, Inc I was able to purchase my own home in 2017 and was also given the opportunity to take part in an investment property with my colleagues. Ideally, I plan to use my current home as a rental property in the future, when my family and I decide to move on to the next step!”
Matthew Freeman, Business Resources
Matthew joined the Evergreen team in January of 2018. Originally from central Illinois, Matthew decided to attend College at Colorado State University where he is working on an undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in English as well as legal studies. Matthew plans to attend law school someday, where he hopes to become a lawyer. In his free time Matthew enjoys hiking and skiing with friends and family across the state of Colorado. We asked him what he likes about working for Evergreen Property Management, Inc. and he replied: “I like the hardworking and family-like attitude that everyone brings to the workplace every day. I feel that I learn something new about real estate almost every day here which helps prepare me for one day owning a home or my own rental properties.”
Brianna Esparza, Accounting Manager
Brianna joined the Evergreen team in January of 2012. She graduated from the University of Phoenix in February of 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. When not at work, she enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. Brianna is a key member of our accounting department and is ready to help whenever needed. We asked what she likes most about working for Evergreen Property Management and she said: “What I like most about EPM, Inc. is the family atmosphere. It feels like home! I also like that I have been given the opportunity to have somewhat of a flexible schedule to still be a mother and attend everything I need to for my kids! I love coming to work and learning something new every day. Although accounting can be very tedious, there is always a new situation popping up, keeping us on our toes!”
Rya Fredrick, Accounting Associate
Rya is a proud native of Fort Collins, Colorado. She is currently working on her real estate license and hopes to have her license within the next year. Rya says, “I enjoy working in real estate and property management because it allows me to help others rent or buy their homes, and I would like to one day pursue a partnership in owning multiple rental properties.” She is full of life and would love change the world for the better. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures, crushing goals at the gym, boating, snowboarding and spending time with her rescued wiener dogs!
Sadi Boren , Accounting Associate
Sadi rejoined the Evergreen team in April of 2019. Originally from Oklahoma, she is a CSU graduate and now calls Northern Colorado home. Her favorite thing about working for Evergreen is the amazing team of people she gets to work with every day and the incredible opportunities afforded to her as a member of that team. When not at work, she loves getting outside to ski, run, hike, bike and just about anything else you can do in the sunshine.
LEASING AND MANAGEMENT:
Katie Rose, Leasing Manager
Katie joined the Evergreen team in February of 2015. She is a great multi-tasker who loves tackling the new challenges of everyday office life! Katie is a graduate of Colorado State University (Go Rams!) and earned a Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies. Being in Fort Collins for 4 years now, she has come to know the town and its surroundings very well, so feel free to ask her about some good hiking trails in and around town! When we asked Katie what she likes about working for Evergreen and how she sees her future, her answer was: “I love working with the people here; Everyone is so kind and giving. Our owners are some of the most amazing and caring people I have ever met. I enjoy working in property management because it is challenging. I am always tested and there is something new going on each day. I am currently working towards my Real Estate Broker’s License which will enhance my current job and hopefully be a useful addition to my education.”
Jamie J. Johnson, Leasing Associate
Jamie started with Evergreen in August of 2016. She graduated from Colorado State University after studying human development and family studies, in addition to Spanish during her college years. She became fluent in Spanish five years ago, which has translated into a love for many other cultures! Therefore, she adores traveling and salsa dancing, in addition to horseback riding and singing! When it comes to working at Evergreen, Jamie said, “I enjoy being involved in the Property Management and Real Estate world because of the updated information and education I receive on maintenance issues, property development and value changes within our community.”
Sharon Akers, Leasing Associate
Sharon joined the Evergreen team in April 2017. Originally from Nebraska, she has called Colorado home for several years. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in social work from Colorado State University After working in the human services field, she now enjoys showing our many different properties to prospective residents. In her free time, Sharon likes quilting, crafts of all sorts, hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Marc Teets, Residential Services Coordinator
Marc joined the Evergreen team in April of 2018. After moving to Arizona and graduating with a degree in audio engineering, Marc moved back to Colorado to work in sales and education in the retail music industry. Marc later followed in his family’s footsteps when given an opportunity at Evergreen to work in real estate and property management. With his strong background in customer service, Marc enjoys working with people and helping in any way he can. In his free time, you can find Marc in his teaching studio giving drum lessons, or out on the town attending a concert at a local venue. Here are Marc’s thoughts about working with Evergreen: “What I like most working at Evergreen is the people I work with. No matter how crazy and stressed things can get, there is always someone willing to help get a job done or answer a question. I enjoy working with people. Everyone’s situation is different, and that challenges me to adapt and learn with every resident I meet.”
Gabby Garcia, Leasing Associate
Gabby started with Evergreen in October 2017. She was born in California and moved to Colorado 9 years ago. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is very passionate about makeup and loves competing in the body building industry. She enjoys helping others and doing the best she can to help people when it is needed.
Heather Snyder, Marketing Director
Heather began working as a member of the Evergreen Maintenance Team in September 2013. She spent some time as the Maintenance Services Coordinator, the Property Maintenance Inspector, and a Maintenance Manager before moving into the Leasing Department. In her free time, Heather enjoys hiking, motorcycles and spending as much time as possible with her family exploring everything this state has to offer. When asked what she likes about working at Evergreen she replied, “I really enjoy the amount of knowledge I’ve gained since working here. I am looking forward to obtaining my real estate license over the next year and moving forward with one of my life goals.”
Dawn Fuentes, Residential Management Associate
Dawn Fuentes joined our leasing team in January 2015 to represent our Weld and Larimer properties. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Human Rehabilitation Services Degree and a minor in psychology. Dawn enjoys traveling, reading books, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Dawn says, “I personally enjoy working for Evergreen Property Management, Inc. My favorite part is showing properties and meeting new people.”
Christine Contreras, Residential Services Coordinator
Christine started working at Evergreen in early November 2017. She loves being outdoors, playing sports, going to the gym, staying active and spending time with her family and friends. She is an NPC Figure bodybuilding competitor and has been competing for several years now. She enjoys setting goals for herself, working hard and achieving every single one of them! Here’s what she has to say about working at Evergreen Property Management, Inc.: “What I like about working for Evergreen Property Management Inc. is the ability to expand my knowledge within property management, renting and owning a home. I also would like to invest in multiple properties down the road. I think it would be smart and would be a good investment for my future.”
Mackenzie Landorf, Residential Services Coordinator
Mackenzie started with evergreen in May 2018. She graduated from CSU with a major in communication studies and a minor in business administration. When not at work she loves doing anything outside – things like hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking the Horsetooth Reservoir, cooking and hanging out with family! When asked what she likes about Evergreen she responded: “I like that my coworkers are always willing to offer a heling hand. Expanding my knowledge of real estate and property management is something I look forward to. I plan on buying my own home, hopefully sometime in the next few years and hopefully in Northern Colorado. I was born and raised here and never want to move!”
PROPERTY SERVICES GROUP:
The Maintenance Department is busy all year round but we are never too busy to hear from our residents with suggestions on how to improve our service or our properties.
Our goals are:
To provide a high standard of workmanship.
To carry out repairs in a timely manner.
For our staff members to always be polite and courteous to our residents.
To meet the specific needs of our owners.
The maintenance team has grown considerably over the years. Most of the maintenance work is now handled in-house which gives us greater control over the service which we provide to our residents and owners. The maintenance team now consists of five office members, eight maintenance technicians, one cleaning associate and two groundskeepers.
Caleb Stitzel, Maintenance Manager
Caleb joined the Evergreen team in May of 2016. He graduated from Coe College the summer of 2014 with degrees in political science and sociology. In his spare time, Caleb enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking. Here is what Caleb has to say about our company: “EPM always affords many opportunities for learning and experience about all aspects of property management and real estate. Property management always has new challenges and situations.”
Pete Grabel, Maintenance Coordinator
Pete joined the Evergreen maintenance team in January of 2019. Originally from Illinois, he moved to Colorado in 2011 so that he and his wife could enjoy the mountains, and he has loved being in the state ever since. He enjoys backpacking, hiking, camping, and fishing as well as bad movies, science fiction, and other nerdy stuff. Pete really enjoys the comradery of Evergreen as well as the supportive and friendly atmosphere.
Steven Batt, Residential Maintenance Inspector
Steven Batt joined the Evergreen team in November of 2016. After working in the retail music industry for nearly 8 years, Steven decided to join Evergreen to learn more about property management and real estate. Born and raised in Fort Collins, he enjoys playing guitar, fishing, mountain biking and skiing in his spare time. When asked what he likes about working at Evergreen, Steven said: “It’s just a great company to work for, the people are top notch and my quality of life has really improved since working here. I’ve gotten much greater insight into managing rentals, which has really come in handy when it’s come to dealing with my own property as issues have come up. I hope to soon own a rental property that is managed by Evergreen and continue to invest in real estate to grow my portfolio.”
Sergio Rushing, Residential Maintenance Inspector
Sergio began working for Evergreen Property Management in March of 2016. He was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Paonia, Colorado when he was two. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education in 2014. Mentoring youth both as students and as young adults is something he considers to be influential to his life and his career. Sergio enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and playing sports with his friends and his girlfriend. He also enjoys the simplicities of life such as reading, traveling, and exercising. We asked him what he likes about Evergreen and he said, “Their willingness to help with growth is something I appreciate. I also enjoy the freedom to make my own decisions on how my day to day looks.”
Ashlie Helgeland, Maintenance Finance Administrator
Ashlie joined the Evergreen team in January of 2018. She graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2018 with a degree in psychology with a clinical and counseling concentration. Ashlie also loves to be creative and runs her own small photography business specializing in lifestyle and couples’ photography. She enjoys living an active lifestyle and is always working towards her fitness goals!
Rae Flores, Maintenance Billing Associate
Rae joined the Evergreen team in 2019 as a Maintenance Billing Associate. She is a graduate from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor’s Degree in communications and public relations. She moved to Fort Collins with her husband and two children from Austin, Texas in October 2017. She loves Fort Collins and is an avid lover of the arts. She has had the pleasure of serving Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble as President of the Board (non-profit). Her family enjoys hiking, camping and sitting on a beach with their feet in the sand.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I’S:
Kade Clark, Landscape and Maintenance Technician I
Kade started with Evergreen in September of 2017. The skills he uses every day at work for Evergreen come from work and life experience, including lots of time spent on a farm, motorcycle and car projecting. Outside of his job, he hunts, fishes, and enjoys movies.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II’S:
Kurt Drain, Maintenance Technician II
Kurt has lived in Fort Collins for 25+ years after moving from Nebraska in 1990. He’s a self-described honest and hardworking person who takes great pride in getting results. Kurt is very excited to be on the Evergreen team and looks forward to using his installation and customer service experience to tackle any maintenance issues.
When not at work, Kurt enjoys the vast Colorado outdoors, including riding his mountain bike, white water kayaking, backpacking, camping and snowshoeing. He also enjoys riding Motocross and working on his motorcycle.
Steven Dilger, Maintenance Technician II
Steve, a Colorado native, has 10+ years in construction management. He came to Evergreen in June 2016 with excitement to lend his experience to get the job completed and satisfy the customer. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, and camping with his wife and 2 daughters. When the weather doesn’t cooperate he likes tinkering in the garage and woodworking.
Ron Wood, Maintenance Technician II
Ron started working for Evergreen in January of 2017. From 1996 until becoming a part of our team this year, he operated his own siding business which in 2004 transitioned to a remodeling company. Ron spends his hours outside the office enjoying all things outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Dustin McElhaney, Maintenance Technician II
Dustin has roots in “Tornado Alley” Moore, Oklahoma. He’s lived in Colorado for 13 years. Happily married for 26 years, and having raised two boys, his family enjoys life in the Rocky Mountains. He loves hiking, fishing, and his 13 year old lab Maddie! Having 23 years’ experience in construction and maintenance, he is always looking for ways to expand his skill set.
Blake Howard, Maintenance Technician II
Blake graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with a degree in psychology and biomedical sciences. In his free time, he plays with his Australian Shepherd and spends time with his friends and family. His love for the outdoors is a big part of his life: playing ultimate Frisbee, volleyball or tennis, hiking around Colorado, snowboarding and longboarding.
Randy Mondragon, Maintenance Technician II
Randy, a Colorado Native, graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a degree in health and exercise science. He is very excited to join the Evergreen team and to be back in Ft. Collins. When not at work, Randy enjoys the outdoors with family and friends and hanging out in the garage working on various projects.
Jacob Ward, Maintenance Technician II
Jacob graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska with a degree in psychology and behavioral sciences. He enjoys working with people and being outside. When not at work, you can find Jacob fly fishing, tying flies, reading, snowshoeing, backpacking, and working on bicycles. He loves spending time with his wife and his dog, Banjo.
Cathy Muir, Cleaning Associate
Cathy has over 10 years of experience in cleaning services. She is a mother to 3 young children and spends her free time doing fun things with them such as going to amusement parks, bowling, and hiking.
